Bahçeşehir University (BAU), a university befitting the slogan “In the Heart of Istanbul”... The main campus, located by the Bosphorus in Beşiktaş, is bustling from the early hours of the day until almost the entire day. Moreover, it is possible to encounter an event at almost every corner of the university.
Bahçeşehir University (BAU) provides education across six campuses located in various parts of Istanbul: Beşiktaş North, Beşiktaş South, Göztepe, Galata, Kemerburgaz, and Çatalca. While the main campus is located in Beşiktaş, the university comprises 9 faculties, 1 School of Applied Sciences, 1 Conservatory, 1 School of Foreign Languages, 1 Vocational School, and a Graduate Education Institute with 12 different programs. The BAU Family, with 18,150 undergraduate and 1,369 associate degree students, including 4,648 international students, continues its mission of being “A World University in the Heart of Istanbul.”
As an international university, BAU collaborates with 235 universities from 36 different countries, 175 Erasmus+ Partner Universities, and 25 World Exchange Partner Universities, offering its students a globally diverse education. Additionally, BAU Global provides students with the opportunity to study in various cities worldwide, including Berlin, Toronto, Washington DC, Batumi, Cyprus, Hanoi, Kyiv, Pueblo, and Brockville. BAU students can receive all the support they need for international programs from the university’s "International Office."
Bahçeşehir University (BAU) has proven its success by ranking 5th among participating universities from Turkey in the Times Higher Education ranking for International Outlook. With a staff of 1,351 experienced and young academics, BAU is highly ranked in research, supported by 22 research centers, 93 laboratories, and internal funding for research and R&D activities. BAU provides national and international funds and support mechanisms for researchers in industry/business partnerships, innovative ideas, product development, and entrepreneurship.
With 37,337 alumni, BAU offers its students the opportunity to connect with the industry before graduation. Through the "CO-OP Education Model," BAU students can engage with the business world while continuing their education. With 2,330 CO-OP Brand Partnerships, 175 CO-OP Branded Courses, and 5,200 COOPERs (students benefiting from CO-OP Internship Opportunities), the university and the business world are brought even closer together.
Additionally, Bahçeşehir University has been awarded the "Best Education Brand of the Year 2017" and aims to be among the top 500 universities in the world by 2023, the centennial year of the Republic.
