**Vocational School CIOR**
CIOR is a vocational school located in Vila Nova de Famalicão, in the northern region of Portugal, with a total of 450 students. For 25 years, we have been providing initial vocational training in various fields such as Renewable Energies, Electronics, Electrical Installations, Occupational and Environmental Safety, Mechatronics, and Social Animation. We also offer adult education courses for unemployed and low-skilled individuals.
Our school has a strong relationship with local companies and makes over 300 agreements annually to provide students with learning opportunities in a work environment as part of their curriculum. Additionally, we offer adult education in various vocational fields such as Air Conditioning, Automation, Mechanics, Electrical Installations and Electronics Repair, Child Care, and Foreign Languages. For adults, we also provide courses that offer advanced education options to acquire new skills or complete their educational paths.
Our school aims to advance educational opportunities to enable all young people and adults to deepen their vocational knowledge, raise their education levels, and enhance their chances of active citizenship and employment. We strive to be an innovative school, learning new methodologies from the best practices of our partners. Moreover, we work with different local partners to stay close to the community and respond to social needs.
CIOR has a European Project department consisting of teachers and administrative staff, who have been working on various European Projects under the Lifelong Learning and Erasmus+ Programs since 2000. This department aims to promote mobility, active European citizenship, and opportunities among our educators.
